Success in politics (or salvation of image among the politician) is often defined by who gets thrown under the bus and when. Whether we look back to the good old days when a president would fire a staff member - for incompetence...or for praising Mao as a great philosopher...or for suggesting that kids are made safer by confusing them with radical homosexual messages - usually to preserve his own credibility or agenda - or to campaigns where candidates suddenly discover, just months before an election, that after 20 years it turns out that their mentor and pastor is really an unappealing, unpatriotic and deranged, paranoid pshycho - throwing bad apples into the garbage is a time-honored tradition in politics, even when it amounts to throwing your white grandmother under the bus.
My question to you, fearless reader, is who (individual or organization), among those who might be perceived to be mixed in with your politics or ideology, would you like to see go away? Who is harming your agenda or your political interests more than any other person or group? Politicians, pundits, private citizens, 527s, advocates or activists, White House employees who are hurting the president...where do you feel your ideas lose credibility because someone or something supposedly on your side of the spectrum just won't shut their mouth(s)?
(Note to the mushy-middle, the undecideds, the so-called Independents who vote on fashion more than principle - unless you can state a commitment to a left or right philosophy, your input is really out of place here. Sorry, it just is.)
